Town Show

The Godmanchester Town Show is an annual event, held on the first Saturday of September at the Community Nursery.

The first show was held in 1886, and then annually apart from a short break during the Great War, until the 1960s when it finally came to an end.

It was re-started in 2016, and in that year there were over 200 entries. By 2018 this had grown to over 600. It includes vegetables, cakes, preserves, flower arranging, photography and a children’s section. It is open to all residents of Godmanchester and to members of Godmanchester-based organisations, schools and clubs.

Full details of all the categories can be found on the website at godmanchestertownshow.uk.

Although started under the GMCiB umbrella it, like the Garden Club, is now run independently with its own committee.
